The Seahawks entered Week 4 against the Detroit Lions as the healthier team. Detroit will be missing key players. Here’s who is not playing for Seattle.

The Seahawks have had issues keeping cornerbacks healthy enough to play in 2022. Rookies Coby Bryant and Tariq Woolen have been forced to stay on the field and learn on the job a lot faster than Seattle would likely have wanted them to. In the case of Woolen, he has exceeded expectations.

But Bryant has made some key mistakes and most noticeably got beat for a long touchdown in Week 1 when Seattle beat Russell Wilson and the Broncos.

In Week 4, though, Seattle will have a bunch of corners ready to go. Veteran Sidney Jones is fully healthy and will be needed against a very good Lions offense. The Lions, even without running back D’Andre Swift and receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, are capable of putting up points against a bad Seahawks defense.

Seattle, however, won’t have slot corner Justin Coleman, however, against Detroit. He has missed the past couple of games with a calf injury. Bryant will likely once again start in the slot in place of Coleman.

Veteran CB Artie Burns seemed to be fully healthy in practice this week but he won’t play against Detroit.

Seattle will also be without backup safety Joey Blount. Blount hasn’t played a bunch this year and is more of a special teams player at this point.

Backup guard Phil Haynes is dealing with an ankle injury and won’t play. Haynes has been pretty decent the last couple of seasons in the snaps he has gotten. His injury also leaves the offensive line pretty thin.

Rookie receiver Dareke Young is a healthy scratch as is defensive tackle Myles Adams. If they are injured, it isn’t anything that was listed on the injury report late in the week.
