Seahawks QB Geno and the brilliant passing game

For the second week in a row, the Seattle Seahawks and their quarterback Geno Smith were able to open it up on offense through the air. Unlike last week’s loss to the Falcons, this game versus the Lions was a back-and-forth affair, as both teams try to answer each other’s blows. The result was a booming score for both teams with a total score of close to 100 points.

After letting Geno cook last week against the Falcons, Geno came back for an encore this week against a helpless Lions defense. Geno Smith finished the game with 320 passing yards with 2 passing touchdowns, but wait, there is more. he also ran for 49 yards and another score on the ground. Geno was able to go toe to toe with Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff who also went berserk in this game.

The beneficiary of Geno’s throws were DK Metcalf who caught 7 passes for 149 yards, and Tyler Lockett who caught 6 passes for 91 yards. So far through 2 games in which the Seahawks allowed to open the offense up the result had been good.

Even when Seattle allows Geno to chuck it, Geno has not given up the ball over much. Against the Lions, Geno did not throw any pick, let us all hope the Seahawks keep letting Geno cook.
