Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny ran wild past the Lions

We all had been waiting for this moment in the season, and it took the Seahawks a month to finally be able to see what running back Rashaad Penny can do as a lead back. Penny did not disappoint in this game as he ran for 151 yards on 17 carries.

Penny was able to torture the Lions defense, and it was evident on Penny’s 2 long rush touchdowns, a 36-yarder, and a 41-yarder, wherein he was able to break some tackles.

It was a nice showing for Penny and the running game, as the team kept getting bottled up in their previous three games which resulted in the team struggling to get anything done in the passing game. Maybe this showing by Penny will get their future opponents to respect the run to be able to get an efficient passing game.

Seattle needed every inch of Penny’s rushing on this one, as they needed to put up points on the board to keep up with Goff and the Lions. We all saw what Penny can do towards the end of last season, and hopefully, this is a great sign that he is ready to keep going and carry some of the load for this offense this season.
