Seahawks found their running game

For the past few weeks, the Seahawks had been having difficulty running the football. With their putrid running game, Geno Smith and the Seahawks passing game had been struggling as well. The Seahawks run game has been the staple of a Pete Carroll-led team all through the years, but for some reason, they could not find their footing on the ground.

Even before rookie running back Kenneth Walker III went down with an ankle injury in Week 13 against the Rams, the Seahawks’ running game was having troubles. The Ken Walker injury just made matters worse for Seattle, as they rotated their running back room for the past few weeks to no avail.

However, in Week 17, against a formidable New York Jets defense, Ken Walker and the Seahawks finally were able to find some holes and be able to move the ball on the ground. Kenneth Walker finished the game with a respectable 133 rushing yards, and although he was not able to find pay dirt, it certainly helped Seattle win this game.

The Seahawks will definitely need Ken Walker and the rest of the running back room to duplicate or even surpass this Week 17 performance against the Rams this week to help the team clinch a playoff birth this season. Tough task for a rookie to carry a huge load but Ken Walker has shown this season that he can get the job done.
