The Seattle Seahawks are looking to defend their Super Bowl in 2026, but there will be some new faces who will need to make an impact. In the backfield, the Seahawks will have someone else take the charge after Kenneth Walker left in free agency.

Seattle decided to draft running back Jadarian Price with the 32nd overall pick, and he's expected to have a significant role. ESPN's Mike Clay released an article projecting statistics for several rookies at multiple positions.

In those projections, they have Price logging 915 rushing yards and eight touchdowns next season. Those are second among rookies, only behind his former teammate Jeremiyah Love, who is with the Arizona Cardinals.

That would be a great rookie campaign for Price, and at the same time, it would have him topping Zach Charbonnet's career high in just one season.

Charbonnet has been with Seattle for three seasons, where he's been used as the RB2. Last season, he posted career-highs in carries (184), rushing yards (730), and rushing touchdowns (12). Across 49 career games, he has 1,761 rushing yards and 21 rushing scores. He also has 95 receptions, 693 rushing yards, and another receiving score.

He's an effective player, but there's certainly a world where Price outproduces him as a rookie. Especially with Charbonnet recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the playoffs and underwent surgery in February.

Price will have the runway to take the RB1 job by the horns, but that should have fans excited. Although he wasn't the workhorse at Notre Dame, playing behind Love, Price has everything you want in a tailback. He has the acceleration to run away from defenders in open space and can break arm tackles with ease.

He does need to work on his ball security (four collegiate fumbles), there's untapped potential as a pass catcher and pass blocker due to his lack of reps in that area. Despite that, Love knows how to change gears and fly through the hole. Over 41 games with the Fighting Irish, he had 1,692 rushing yards (6.0 yards per carry) with 21 touchdowns.

With Price joining an offense that won't need him to carry the weight, that will only help him out more. Sam Darnold tossing the ball to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, AJ Barner, and Elijah Arroyo only opens up the ground game that much more. Defenses can't afford to stack the box, and that will work to Price's advantage.

Price is set up extremely well to produce in his rookie season, which plays a part in ESPN's projection. And if he pans out the way they believe, Price will outpace Charbonnet in his rookie season.
