Bobby Wagner - LB

It's never fun to watch a team lose an integral piece of their defense like the Seahawks did with Bobby Wagner leaving for the Los Angeles Rams last season. However, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, which leads us to an epic reunion.

So maybe it was all worth it in the end?

That's debatable, but at least the eight-time Pro Bowler is finally back to where it all started and ready to dominate opposing offenses for the 12s again.

It seemed like a dream scenario to see a reunion between Wagner and the Seahawks since the linebacker signed a massive five-year contract with the Rams. But when a team needs to create salary cap room for free agency and the draft, if cutting one player creates a lot of money for a team, then it makes it simple for them to part ways.

Fortunately for the Seahawks, Wagner fell victim to that need from the Rams.

Now that he's presumably going to take over his former role as a defensive captain, Wagner's experience in the league, but especially with the team, holds much more value going into the 2023 season.

The Seattle defense was impressive last season, and with the linebacker's influence back in the locker room and performance on the field, it's difficult to imagine the unit not improving in multiple ways.
