The Seattle Seahawks start their 2024 campaign on Sunday, September 8, against the Denver Broncos. Week 1s can be weird because they work as a transition between preseason games and the regular season and some starters, who likely did not play much in the preseason. There could be some rust to shake off.

That is the case for the announcers and officials as well. Sure, we all want to pretend everyone is ready for the season, but if someone has not done their job for eight months or so, one is going to need to warm back up a bit, right?

At least, the Seahawks and the Broncos know they are going to get quality in who is calling their matches and who is officiating. This is what 12s should know about both those aspects.

Seahawks vs. Broncos announcers for Week 1

Seattle versus Denver does not feature teams expected to make Super Bowl runs in 2024, though both could make the playoffs, so CBS is not going to send their "A-team" to call the game. But let's be honest, the announcers that 12s are getting are likely better than CBS's top team.

The broadcast crew will consist of Spero Dedes on play-by-play, Adam Archuleta doing color commentary, and Aditi Kinkhabwala as the sidelines reporter. All do their jobs quite well so fans will know every detail as soon as it happens.

Much of the western part of the United States will get the game (check your local CBS channel), but otherwise, fans might need to watch via the NFL Sunday Ticket. The announcers remain the same either way.

According to Football Zebras, Brad Allen will be the head referee for the officiating crew in Week 1. Allen has been part of a crew that has overseen 11 Seahawks games since 2014. Seattle is 6-5 in those games but a few things are true.

One is that in none of those games did poor officiating affect the outcome. A second point is that while Seattle has a successful record, the team has lost the majority of the recent contests. In other words, Allen is not a lucky charm for Seattle.
