Is DK Metcalf playing today? (Latest injury report for Seahawks vs. Cardinals Week 7)

The Seattle Seahawks play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Lumen Field. Kickoff is at 1:05 pm PT. Seattle is 3-2 and the Cardinals are 1-5. But will Seattle have DK Metcalf available on Sunday?

Metcalf has been dealing with nagging injuries for most of the season. He injured his ribs against the Detroit Lions in Week 2 but he's managed to play through the pain without missing a game. Against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6, Metcalf landed funny on his hip and injured that on the same side that his ribs were injured.

Metcalf has full movement but he probably won't get better without rest. He certainly will have to keep playing through the pain for both his ribs and his hip. In practice this week, Metcalf missed Wednesday and Thursday and was limited on Friday. Of course, the Seahawks have kept Metcalf out of practice several times this year since he injured his ribs so his missing practice doesn't mean he won't play.

What is the status of Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf for Week 7?

Seattle did elevate receiver Eason Winston on Saturday but that is likely not to replace DK Metcalf. There is a greater chance that Seattle won't have rookie running back Zach Charbonnet available on Sunday as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. If Charbonnet, who is listed as questionable currently, cannot play that would probably mean more reps for DeeJay Dallas. Dallas returns kicks and punts and if he is focused more on running back than returner, Winston could take Dallas's place there.

My guess is that DK Metcalf does play on Sunday versus the Cardinals. Metcalf is listed as questionable, but he could have been doubtful or out, of course. Metcalf will probably play and hopefully, he does well.

And 12s can al hope that Metcalf doesn't get yet another 15-yard penalty or two. Instead, maybe Metcalf will have 120 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns in an easy Seahawks victory (not to jinx the game or anything).

Update: The Seattle Seahawks have ruled DK Metcalf out for Week 7.
