The Seattle Seahawks appear to have had another good draft class. And not one, but two, Seattle rookies have a good chance at OROY per CBS Sports. Good stuff for a team that really needed more help on defense.

To be fair, though, Seattle got some good talent on defense as well with cornerback Devon Witherspoon, edge rusher Derick Hall and others. But the Seahawks chose potentially at least three early-season starters on offense. Plus, and let's hope this doesn't happen, if Kenneth Walker III gets hurt, Zach Charbonnet could start as well.

Charbonnet is one of the two Seattle players that CBS Sports has in its highest odds for players getting the award for Offensive Rookie of the Year. The other is receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba, right guard Anthony Bradford, and center Olu Oluwatimi could be the three players that could start very soon into the season.

Two Seahawks have good odds for being 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year

According to CBS Sports, Charbonnet has the 12th-best odds to win OROY at +3000. Smith-Njigba is tied for the fifth-best odds at +900. Topping the odds is Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson (+300) and Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young (+400).

Robinson makes sense to be at the top of the odds simply because the Falcons don't have a whole lot else on offense and he is probably going to have the ball in his hands a lot. But Charbonnet and Smith-Njigba are going to get their opportunities as well. With the Seahawks having DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, Smith-Njigba should see a ton of one-on-one coverage and he probably already has the ability to beat most NFL slot corners in coverage.

Charbonnet might be more limited in touches than Smith-Njigba, as least less consistently busy as the receiver, since Walker should be RB1 and Charbonnet will be RB2. But Seattle also probably wants to go with a running back rotation so Charbonnet isn't going to just sit on the sidelines and watch.

Let's hope that Charbonnet or Smith-Njigba do have productive seasons, but let's hope they do so while they are RB2 and WR3, respectively. If they do so otherwise it might mean injuries have occurred. Either way, it's nice to see Seattle getting some love from national pundits.
