Seahawks fans will not want to miss this new show that starts Monday
By Lee Vowell
If 12s need something else to watch this summer, might I recommend a new reality competition show that features two former Seattle Seahawks? Stars on Mars will start Monday, June 5th, on FOX at 8 pm. And the lineup for the show is quite interesting.
The premise is that a group of 12 people will "live, eat, sleep, strategize and bond" with one another in the same "space" station. The group will be faced with the same kind of conditions they would be faced with if they were living on Mars. Competing in missions and using the smarts and strength to get them by, one person will be named the "brightest star in the galaxy" and win the competition. The show will be hosted by William Shatner.
But the best part of the program for 12s is that two of the 12 competitors will be former Seahawks Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lunch. Basically, 17 percent of the people going up against each other are Seahawks. How can this not be fun?

The other people taking part are cyclist Lance Armstrong, TV personality Tom Schwartz, singer Tinashe, former boxer/wrestler Ronda Rousy, actress Tallulah Willis (also she is Bruce Willis' daughter so that's pretty cool), actress/comedian Natasha Leggero, actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse (who played McLovin in Superbad, among other films), figure skater Adam Rippon, TV personality Porsha Williams Guobadia, and actress Ariel Winter (you might remember her from Modern Family).
FOX clearly did their job by getting people of different backgrounds to be on the show and that should make it more entertaining. Of course, for our purposes here, we really mostly care about Sherman and Lynch.
Heck, the show could only be Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch and I'd watch it. This reminds me, Sherman will be back on Thursday Night Football on Amazon in 2023. Also, his podcast is great! (Now maybe he will unblock me on Twitter.)
