Jordyn Brooks likely out and Devin Bush would be in

Jordyn Brooks hurt his ankle in Week 16 on his 12th defensive snap of the game. He was missed as the Titans like to run the ball a lot and Brooks is very good against the run. He doesn't appear to have suffered a break, though, so if there was a lot of the season left, he probably would be back. The issue is, of course, there is not a lot of the season left.

Pete Carroll said on Tuesday that it's "going to be hard to get (Brooks) back." Carroll did not even give a timeline, just a generality. We can assume Brooks will not play in Week 17 and probably not in Week 18, either. But Devin Bush playing in place of Brooks might work out well for Week 17 at least.

The reason for this is that Bush began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. Over time, and especially in Bush's final season with the Steelers in 2022, the linebacker played less and less. This offseason, Pittsburgh did not make much of an attempt to bring Bush back. This snub might motivate Bush this week.

Both the Seahawks and Pittsburgh are fighting for the postseason and neither team can truly afford a loss. How nice would it feel for Bush to do something great to allow Seattle to defeat his former team. Brooks is the better player compared to Bush, but Bush would most likely be the more motivated player on Sunday.
