The Seattle Seahawks are sliding right now. Seattle sits at 6-6 with 6-8 potentially staring at them. A team that should have been better in 2023 simply has not been.

But there is always a chance for a miracle. 'Tis the season for that, right? Maybe if Seattle defeats the 49ers in Week 14 or the Philadelphia in Week 15, 12s will feel much better.

But let's focus Tuesday's news on current issues. With one part being a huge change for 2024. In fact, let us start with that bit.

One site suggests a Seahawks trade for quarterback Justin Fields

Maybe you are not a big fan of Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. Or maybe you don't like Drew Lock. Or possibly you are not a fan of either one and simply want Seattle to find a new quarterback for 2024. Well, if any of the prior scenarios are true, you might like what Matt Lombardo of FanBuzz (and Lombardo also writes for FanSided) has to say.

As the Chicago Bears could very well end up with the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft as the Bears hold the Carolina Panthers' first-round draft choice due to trade ahead of the 2023 draft, Chicago might take one of the top quarterbacks in next year's class. This would mean they would need to move on from current quarterback Justin Fields. Fields is just 24 years old, has been in the league for parts of three seasons, but has a won-loss record of 7-26 as a starter.

Fields has been on some horrible teams, but he also does not appear to be a highly skilled passer. 2023 has been his best season, however, and he has completed 64.4 percent of his passes and has a quarterback rating of 92.3. He is also a spectacular runner. But Chicago's asking price for Fields should not be steep if they are already wanting to replace him and there is no guarantee that the Seahawks would be any better with Fields.
