Seahawks rumored to get four prime-time games in 2024

The Seattle Seahawks will learn their official 2024 schedule at 5 pm PT on Wednesday, May 15, but there have been several leaks about the schedule already. Not just with Seattle, of course, but with many games in general. Only a handful of games have been confirmed so the games below should be taken with a grain of proverbial salt.

(Unless you like eating salt by itself, of course. If so, go ahead and take a pinch of salt while you are reading this article. Still, that's weird and likely not very healthy.)

There are rumors, however, through reputable people such as Brian Nemhauser of Hawk Blogger that have given solid guesses on when Seattle will play this year and what the prime-time games will be. If the rumors are true then Seattle will be involved in four prime-time games, one more than was initially scheduled in 2023.

Seahawks rumored to host four prime-time games in 2024

The Seahawks did wind up with four prime-time games last year but only because the Week 15 game with the Philadelphia Eagles was flexed into a Sunday Night Football spot. Seattle played two Thursday night games in 2023 and one was on Thanksgiving. That means the prime-time games last year were a bit gimmicky and Seattle was originally expected to play two regular prime-time games.

Again, if the rumors are true, and not everything has been verified, then Seattle will play two Thursday Night Football games again in 2024. This means 12s might need to go ahead and plan on calling off on the following Fridays. Here is what the rumored prime-time games are.

Seahawks at Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 4

Seattle has traveled to Detroit the last two seasons and beaten them. The Lions are a really good team, though, so Mike Macdonald will need to be ready for Jared Goff and company. Detroit lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game last season.

I guess the NFL liked the Thanksgiving game last year so much they decided to have the teams meet again in 2024. If rumors are true, of course.

Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 15

Too bad this is not a Monday Night Football game. If that were so, Seattle could ask Golden Tate to raise the 12th man flag before the game. If you know, you know.

Seahawks at Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football in Week 17

Chicago in late December? Ew. Plus, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams might be a lot more comfortable by this point in the season. This could be a messy game for the Seahawks.
