Seattle Seahawks inactives versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13
By Lee Vowell
The Seattle Seahawks were a banged-up bunch going into last Thursday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Quarterback Geno Smith had injured his arm in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams and he could not practice in the few days between the Rams game and the 49ers matchup.
RB1 Kenneth Walker was also injured against the Rams. He left in the first half with an oblique injury and he could not play against the 49ers. Oblique injuries are tough injuries and simply take time to get over. That time differs from player to player and Walker has not been able to practice this week. He was listed as doubtful going into the game but there was little chance he actually played.
Geno Smith, however, was able to fully practice all week and he will play against the Cowboys. He should also have less soreness than he did against the 49ers so hopefully, there are zero issues against a very good Dallas pass defense. For example, Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland has an astonishing 5 pick-sixes this year and we certainly don't want him to get another in Week 13.
Seattle Seahawks inactives for Week 13
Seattle already ruled out right guard Phil Haynes (toe) before the game so we knew he was going to be inactive. We could also assume Walker was going to be inactive. The same could be said for wide receiver Dareke Young who is dealing with an abdomen injury.
Besides Haynes (who should be replaced by Anthony Bradford), Walker (Zach Charbonnet will take his reps), and Young (he is mostly a special teamer), tight end Will Dissly (hip), Leonard Williams (ankle), and receiver/returner Dee Eskridge (ribs) were listed on the final injury report. All were questionable.
Maybe because of Walker's injury, we will get to finally see rookie running back Kenny McIntosh. He was explosive in training camp before hurting his leg just before preseason. He was active in Week 12 but did not play.
