Seattle Seahawks inactives list for Week 16 game against Tennessee Titans

The Seattle Seahawks travel most of the way across the country in Week 16 to play the Tennessee Titans. Both teams are dealing with multiple injuries. Even before the inactives list was released for both teams, we already knew many players on each side had been ruled out of Sunday's game.

For the Titans, they had ruled out defensive starters safety Amani Hooker, 2022 Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, linebacker Jack Gibbens, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, and defensive back K'Von Wallace. What Seattle will face in Week 16 will be a shell of the Titans team that defeated the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.

Not to jinx anything, but OK I will jinx something, the Seahawks have no business losing to a Titans squad that is so decimated with injuries. Tennessee might have quarterback Will Levis available, but even he was questionable with a high ankle sprain that he suffered just a week ago. Tennessee also placed second-leading receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine on injured reserve late last week and the Titans only had three active receivers on the team as of Saturday.

Inactives for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16 versus the Tennessee Titans

The Seahawks had ruled out three players themselves on Friday. This includes safety Jamal Adams (knee), edge rusher Frank Clark (illness), and receiver Dee Eskirdge (ribs). Seattle's secondary might be better off without Adams so that might just be addition by subtraction. Cark has underperformed since signing as a free agent in the middle of the year. Eskridge has rarely been healthy in his three years with the Seahawks.

Seattle will have quarterback Geno Smith available. He has missed the last couple of weeks with a groin injury. The Seahawks did go 1-1 in that time with a surprising victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15, but the offense should be a bit more consistent with Smith back.
