The Seahawks have done a good job of turning their season around the past two weeks with wins over the Lions and Panthers. Seattle's offense started out slow against the Panthers in last Sunday's game but turned up their game in the second half scoring three touchdowns. The Seahawks settled for four field goals in the first half and one on their first second half possession. Jason Meyers shook off the two missed field goals he had against the Lions and went a perfect 5/5 on field goal attempts, while also making each of his two PATs.

Kenneth Walker III, who the Seahawks missed in their 2022 match-up against the Panthers, had a big day on the ground. He ran for 97 yards on 18 carries and two rushing touchdowns. Geno Smith struggled in the first half of the game, going just 11/23 passing, while also throwing an interception. However, he had a remarkable second half turnaround completing 12/13 passes, including a touchdown pass to Jake Bobo.

Bobo's touchdown catch was the first of his NFL career and was his only catch of the game. His lone catch would be significant as it helped put the game out of reach late in the fourth quarter, as Seattle took a commanding 37-20 lead.

Three Seattle Seahawks to watch in Week 4 against the New York Giants

The Seahawks defense had their best performance of the season, particularly with shutting down Carolina's ground game. Seattle's defense held the Carolina Panthers to just 44 yards rushing, against a team who last year rushed for 223 yards when these teams met in 2022. Which shows a remarkable improvement from last season to 2023. Certainly adding Jarran Reed, Julian Love, Devin Bush and Bobby Wagner has helped this team improve. Defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt deserves recognition as well for preparing his defense against the run this year.

The Seahawks defensive performance against the run showed this defense is turning a corner and will be a force to be reckoned with throughout the season. Who will step up this week for Seattle's defense? What players should the 12s keep an eye on for the Seahawks Monday night showdown with the Giants?
