What time will the Seattle Seahawks be on the clock in the 2024 NFL Draft?
By Lee Vowell
The Seattle Seahawks currently hold the number 16 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. This is higher than Seattle used to have for most of the 2010s, but lower than Seattle has had the last two drafts. There is a decent chance that Seattle trades back in the draft as well in an attempt to pick up even more picks.
Of course, if this happens, 12s might need to do their own match as far as when Seattle is going to make their first selection. Take whatever the pick number is and multiply by 10 and you might have a guess. But, of course, time works differently in the NFL draft because some teams pick faster than others.
The other interesting question is exactly what general manager John Schneider is looking for with the team's first pick. Seattle has a grave need along the offensive line, but Schneider doesn't normally seem fond of taking a guard or center high in drafts. Instead, the Seahawks could take a quarterback just for the fun of it.

Many mock drafts have Seattle taking a player such as University of Washington offensive lineman Troy Fautanu. But as Schneider likes to zig when others proverbially zag, since so many pundits are mocking Fautanu to the Seahawks, that could be the last player Seattle would choose. Or Schneider could make the smart choice and take Fautanu if the player is available.
The 2024 NFL Draft starts at 5 pm PDT and each team has 10 minutes to make their selection. That means it could be 160 minutes until the Seahawks are on the clock, assuming every team takes their full 10 minutes to make their pick. That would put Seattle on the clock at 7:40 PDT.
Not every team will take 10 minutes, however. That means NFL fans have to be on their proverbial toes and keep a close eye on the speed of the draft. The worst Seattle would be would be 7:40 pm. They could easily be earlier than that. As long as you can tune into the 2024 NFL Draft by 7:00 pm PDT then you shouldn't have to worry about missing Seattle's selection.
