The Seattle Seahawks managed to squeak by the New England Patriots in Week 1 despite a few key players being injured or getting hurt in the game. Quarterback Sam Darnold missed the rest of the game after hurting a glute muscle on the first drive of the game. Darnold will be one of the players missing against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, with Drew Lock taking his place.

Safety Ty Okada will also be out. He missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury, which might be a greater concern to him than just getting hurt. He has only been a starter for less than a full season, and if his replacements, such as Rodney Thomas, continue to play well, Seattle might think of keeping Okada on the bench.

After all, continuity matters, and if something is working well, like free agent pick-up Thomas surprisingly playing at a good level, the team might not automatically insert Okada back into the starting lineup that he's never been a long-term part of.

What Seattle Seahawks fans didn't know was whether defensive back Nick Emmanwori would be available, and he's questionable. He also missed Week 1 while trying to make it back from ankle surgery in July. As opposed to the Patriots game, Emmanwori would be needed more in Week 2.

That is because the Cardinals possess one of the best tight ends in the NFL in the person of Trey McBride. Emmanwori has the size and speed to cover tight ends well, and otherwise, that task would fall to a linebacker or a smaller defensive back.

Ernest Jones IV and Drake Thomas are good at what they do, for instance, but don't have the quickness to keep up with the elite McBride consistently. Devon Witherspoon is among the best cornerbacks in the league, but he doesn't have the size to compete with McBride on every throw.

Right guard Anthony Bradford is questionable with multiple injuries. Some fans don't feel he is the best player, but the depth behind him is also questionable. If he misses the game, Christian Haynes would be his replacement.

Of course, the Seahawks could make changes to who plays before Sunday. The game is set to kick off at 1:25 pm PT against the Cardinals. That said, any changes would be to the negative, with players being downgraded in their likelihood of playing.
