The Seattle Seahawks may be in a position to compete for an NFC West title in Mike Macdonald's first season with the team, but that doesn't mean he has everything figured out from a roster-building perspective. The holes on this team show up every gameday, and they've knee-capped their ceiling.

Geno Smith needs to deal with a subpar offensive line and a defense that can look like world-beaters in one game and complete wrecks in the next. The 2025 draft will be pivotal for Seattle, as it can determine if Year 2 of Macdonald can be a contending year or another season treading water.

If the Seahawks end up following this line of thinking in the 2025 NFL Draft, they could keep their contention chances alive by quickly fixing their biggest issues, all while letting the stars on the roster be their best self and taking them to the next level in a very crowded division.

Seattle Seahawks 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft

1st Round: Cameron Williams, OT, Texas

While Kelvin Banks may end up being picked in the first round due to his performance on the left side of the Longhorns offensive line, Williams is slowly starting to sneak into the first-round conversation after dominating on the right end. Williams is a gargantuan player at 6'5" and just under 340 pounds.

Williams' best trait is his power, as he can wipe pass rushers completely out of any given play when he gets his hands on him. Williams is not an amazing athlete, which could lead to questions about his viability against NFL speed, but the raw tools are certainly worth a look for a Seattle team dealing with a horrid offensive line.

2nd Round: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Georgia's Jalon Walker appears to be the only linebacker in this class with a shot at being taken in the first round. However, this draft is particularly rich in Day 2 talent at the position, which could help a former linebackers coach in Macdonald find the ideal leader for his defense in Year 2.

Campbell has lived up to billing as a former top recruit, as he is a freakish athlete with tremendous speed that allows him to both put pressure on the quarterback and cover tons of ground in passing situations. Provided Ernest Jones is brought back, Seattle could have their linebacker spots locked down for years to come.

3rd Round: Dontay Corleone, DT, Cincinnati

Armed with one of the greatest names in college football, the man they call "The Godfather" has taken a bit of a downward slide this season after largely failing to improve upon his 2023 production. His slide might be just sharp enough to help him land in Seattle's lap.

Corleone will immediately be a top-shelf athlete, as he can deadlift 700 pounds and run the pro shuttle in 4.68 seconds. While he lacks much of a plan as a pass rusher, the Seahawks can work with him in that area. Corleone could be a rotational player in his rookie season who eventually becomes a starter after that.
