Rejoice, Seattle Seahawks fans! The preseason schedule for 2025 is now fully known. You can now make plans to see the games.
The above is partly a joke, of course. What matters is the regular season. Those are the games you really want to watch, but if the Seahawks are on, you're probably going to watch whether it's a regular season game or a preseason one.
Sometimes the preseason matchups are easier to see. You don't have to worry about who wins or loses, and mostly hope no one gets hurt. On either team, not just Seattle.
Seattle Seahawks 2025 preseason schedule
Seahawks versus the Las Vegas Raiders Week 1
- Location: Lumen Field, Seattle
- When and where: Thursday, August 7 at 7 pm PT
While this won't exactly be the kind of important game it will be in 2026 when the teams meet during the 2026 regular season, it should still be fun for 12s because Seahawks fans will get to see Pete Carroll return to Lumen Field. 12s might also see quarterback Geno Smith, but that seems more doubtful.
The hope here is that fans give Carroll a warm welcome because this game is otherwise meaningless. The starters won't play much, if at all. This is more about who can earn a spot at the bottom of each team's roster.
Seahawks versus the Kansas City Chiefs Week 2
- Location: Lumen Field, Seattle
- When and where: Friday, August 15 at 7 pm PT
Patrick Mahomes versus Sam Darnold? Not exactly. We might see a lot of Jalen Milroe against the Chiefs' defensive scheme, which could be a good test for the rookie. Again, the starters won't play, and Milroe looks like a star against the backups, but it will be good practice for him.
However, Week 2 could feature the most time we see the presumed starters. They will likely rest in the final week of the preseason. If Milroe starts, he could face the high-end players for the Chiefs. That could be interesting.
Seahawks versus the Green Bay Packers Week 3
- Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
- When and where: Saturday, August 23 at 1 pm PT
If Seahawks fans are making this trip, it might be more about getting a tour of Lambeau. The weather should be warm, at least. Few starters will play, so probably no Jordan Love or Sam Darnold. The schemes will be vanilla. Enjoy the city, though.
