Seahawks final injury report for Rams rematch is good but not great

As good as can be expected for Week 16.

The Seattle Seahawks have so far been fairly lucky with injuries. Sure, some key players, such as Julian Love, Devon Witherspoon, and Nick Emmanwori, have missed several games, but overall, things could be far worse. Let's hope that doesn't change for the worse in Week 16.

While Seattle doesn't have to win in order to make the playoffs, a victory against the Los Angeles Rams would be important as far as potential playoff seeding and morale. The Seahawks have simply lost too much to LA over the last decade for the players not to know how important a win would be. This is especially true of a win at Lumen Field.

The Seahawks will also be in very good shape for the Thursday Night Football matchup, too. At least, almost as well as can be expected so late in the season. The team's health entering the game won't be an excuse for a loss, and let's hope it stays that way during the game.

Seattle Seahawks have a good injury report for Week 16 but could be missing Charles Cross

That said, Seattle will be without left tackle Charles Cross. He hurt his hamstring on the team's final meaningful play (a game-winning 56-yard field goal by kicker Jason Myers) and was not on the field on Seattle's final kneel-down. He was listed as a non-participant in Seattle's practices (which were just walk-throughs) ahead of the Rams rematch.

Cross is officially listed as out. No other Seattle player is listed with an injury designation. For the Rams, wide receiver Davante Adams is doubtful and defensive Braden Fiske is questionable.

Backup Josh Jones will need to get meaningful reps during the game. He has been in the NFL since 2020, but he hasn't started at all since 2023 and hasn't started more than three games in a season since 2022. He's good in pass protection, but not good at run blocking. That could force the Seahawks to throw more, and that might not be good.

More positively, with a real fear of jinxing things, for the first time in their careers, right tackle Abraham Lucas and running back Kenneth Walker are trending toward playing a full season for the first time in their careers. Lucas has been everything the Seahawks hoped he would be, while Walker has been solid.

He might not yet have proven he should be re-signed in the coming offseason, though. Meanwhile, Lucas was extended before the season and will be with the Seahawks through 2028.
