It's safe to say that the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams don't love one another. They meet twice a year as divisional rivals, and they just had an epic battle for a trip to the Super Bowl less than six months ago.

Considering that, it only makes sense that the spite goes well beyond the fan bases. And even if he's no longer with the team, former Rams star DE Jared Verse can't help but still feel a certain type of way about the Seahawks.

That's why, right after being shipped to the Cleveland Browns in the Myles Garrett trade, the young pass rusher made sure to leave one bold message for his teammates. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, his farewell included a swipe at the Seahawks, and the defending champions were quick to respond.

Seattle Seahawks dismiss former Rams player Jared Verse's comments easily

"Make sure you beat the (expletive) Seahawks," Verse told his teammates, per Schefter's Instagram post.

"We left a stain on bra mind," Nick Emmanwori responded in the post with a laughing-face emoji. Then, Leonard Williams and Jarran Reed also chipped in, sharing a handful of laughing-face emojis.

That's as perfect a response as you can have. They're essentially letting him know that they're living rent-free in the Rams' heads. More importantly, they don't seem to be that worried about the Rams' revenge in 2026.

Of course, having a superstar of Myles Garrett's caliber on the other side of the field, especially if that also leads to Aaron Donald's return from retirement. However, it's not like the Rams didn't have a solid pass-rushing unit before that.

Jared Verse is also a star, and the Seahawks' stout offensive line was more than used to dealing with that type of pressure. Granted, Garrett is on a tier of his own, but his arrival didn't make the Rams the best defensive team in the league, and they will also have to stop the Seahawks' offense.

That doesn't mean the Seahawks should look down on the Rams or anybody else, but they can only focus on what they can control. While the Rams and the rest of the league are making moves to aim for their crown, they're working on what got them to the mountaintop in the first place.

Verse, unbeknownst to the Rams, revealed their only goal for the upcoming season, and that makes sense to a degree. The Seahawks, on the other hand, have bigger fish to fry and a Super Bowl crown title to defend.
