The Seattle Seahawks had major turnover on the offensive side of the ball during the offseason, as six of their top nine leaders in snaps played are no longer on the roster. The defense has far more continuity, however, as their eight leaders in snaps played are back in 2025.

There are 11 interior defensive linemen who are looking to earn a roster spot; however, it is clear that Seattle will not roster that many players at the position. There will be several cuts made on Aug. 27, when teams are required to finalize their 53-man roster to begin the regular season.

While the Seahawks have several locks to make the roster, there are a few players who remain on the bubble heading into the final week of the preseason. A recent report predicted that Quinton Bohanna, who has the most experience of any player on the roster bubble, could be on the verge of being cut.

Seattle Seahawks DT Quinton Bohanna listed as potential cut candidate

The Dallas Cowboys selected Bohanna in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he appeared in 27 games, making ten starts, in two seasons with the franchise before being waived. He spent six games equally split between the Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans in 2023, making a total of three starts.

Bohanna landed in Seattle last season; however, he appeared in just one game, where he played a total of seven snaps. In his career, he has recorded 39 total tackles, 15 solo tackles, three tackles for loss, and one quarterback hit.

Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report predicted that Bohanna will not make the final 53-man roster, writing:

""When cutdown day happens, Quinton Bohanna will be walking the (neon) green mile. Bohanna is an OK depth piece. He has kicked around the NFL for four years, with stops in Dallas, Detroit, Tennessee and Seattle along the way. He has 13 NFL starts under his belt. But he isn't a potential difference-maker with untapped potential—he's a 26-year-old, 355-pound road-grader who has all of 39 tackles and as many sacks in the pros as I do. He could still end up on Seattle's practice squad, but the fact that he'd probably clear waivers is telling in and of itself.""

Bohanna has been solid during training camp and the preseason, as he is getting extended looks due to the absence of Johnathan Hankins. While Seattle could part ways with the 13-year veteran, his roster spot - along with that of Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy II, and Jarran Reed - appears to be safe.

Meanwhile, Mike Morris and Brandon Pili have both shone during training camp and are higher than Bohanna on the depth chart. While the latter has the most experience of the trio, he has been outplayed in the preseason and could have a tough path to making the initial 53-man roster.
