The Seattle Seahawks’ outstanding season got even better on Saturday when the NFL announced its 2025 All-Pro teams. Five Seahawks were honored this year, one on the first team and four more on the second team. In 2024, the Seahawks did not have a single selection on either First- or Second-Team.
Seattle had at least two All Pros every year from 2012 to 2020. Between 2021 and 2024, they had just two selections, and it was the same player. In recent years, if Bobby Wagner was on the team, Seattle would receive some All-Pro recognition. If he wasn’t, the All-Pro cupboard was bare.
This is just one more sign of the resurgence under Mike Macdonald, as if the top seed in the NFC wasn’t enough. It is especially encouraging that three of the Hawks’ honorees this year are not yet 27. That clearly bodes well for the future.
Several Seattle Seahawks named to 2025 All-Pro teams
The following Seahawk players received All Pro recognition in 2025
First Team
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, wide receiver
The third-year pass catcher led the league in total yards with 1,793. At the midpoint of the season, he was on pace to challenge Calvin Johnson’s record for receiving yards in a season before falling off toward the end.
Nonetheless, JSN took full advantage of the void left when DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett were not retained. As Seattle's unquestioned WR1, he established career highs in yards, receptions, touchdowns, and first downs. His 15.1 yards per catch dwarfed the 11.3 he put up in 2024.
Just 23 years old, JSN should be one of the NFL’s best receivers for many years to come.
Second Team
Leonard Williams, defensive tackle
At 31, Williams received his first All-Pro recognition. Many fans think this award came one year too late. The Big Cat actually put up better numbers in 2024, with more tackles, sacks, and tackles-for-loss. He even had that iconic pick-six against his former team, the New York Jets.
But Williams was just as good this season. His numbers are only reduced a little bit because of the sensational team defense Seattle has played, and the emergence of second-year player Byron Murphy II next to him. They are the present and future of the Seahawks’ defensive front.
Ernest Jones IV, linebacker
This one is awesome. Jones was credited with transforming the Seahawks' defense when he was acquired midway through Macdonald’s first season. Now, with a full offseason to absorb the system, EJIV is fully integrated and dominant.
He totaled 126 tackles, which is actually fewer than he had in the last two seasons. But like Williams, that is partly due to just how good the rest of the Seahawks’ defense has been.
It is also due to Jones taking on a more wide-ranging role. He more than doubled his career interception total and scored his first defensive touchdown. At 26, Jones also figures to be a core player for many years to come.
Devon Witherspoon, cornerback
If Seattle fans have any gripes, it is that Spoon was only chosen for the second team. He has a very good case for being a first-teamer. He has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons, but this year, the 25-year-old took a major step forward.
He has also benefitted from growing more comfortable in Macdonald’s system and from being surrounded by a lot of talent in the secondary, which has allowed him to roam. Despite missing five games, Spoon still dominated.
Pro Football Focus (subscription required) graded him as the best cornerback in the league in 2025 by a wide margin. He was the only corner to have elite plus-80 grades in coverage, run defense, and pass rush.
Michael Dickson, punter
The 29-year-old Dickson is Seattle’s only All-Pro selection who has previously received the honor. That was back in his rookie season in 2018. Since then, he has remained one of the league’s most consistent performers.
This year, though his net yards were down a bit, he balanced it with exceptional situational punting, with a very low touchback rate and a very high percentage of punts inside the 20-yard line.
Dickson, placekicker Jason Myers and returner Rashid Shaheed give Seattle arguably the best special teams in the league.
