Seattle Seahawks updated depth chart following winning 2025 NFL draft

Who is where?

The 2025 NFL draft is now complete, and the Seattle Seahawks have added 11 new players. Not all the players are likely to make the team. The active roster will consist of only 53 players.

Seattle did seemingly get some winners, though. First-round pick Grey Zabel should start Week 1 along the interior of the offensive line. He should be an immediate upgrade over anyone Seattle played at guard (or center) in the last several seasons. The same could hold true for second-rounder Nick Emmanwori.

Seattle might have chosen the best player available with any given draft choice, but they also drafted for need. When one player fits both definitions, that's the dream. But where does the depth chart stand after the NFL draft and before minicamps begin?

Seattle Seahawks 2025 depth chart after 2025 NFL draft

Quarterback

  • Sam Darnold (Projected Starter)
  • Drew Lock
  • Jalen Milroe (Rookie)
  • Jaren Hall

The Seahawks traded Sam Howell during the 2025 NFL draft and signed Darnold and Lock in free agency. The surprise might have been taking Milroe in the third round. Darnold is the clear starter, and Lock, at this point, is just as solid as QB2. Milroe could be QB1 by 2027, though.

Running back

  • Kenneth Walker III (Projected Starter)
  • Zach Charbonnet
  • Kenny McIntosh
  • Damien Martinez (Rookie)
  • George Holani
  • Brady Russell (Fullback)

Once the 53-man roster is set before Week 1 of the 2025 season, this group might look different than in previous seasons. Usually, Seattle keeps just three running backs, but could stay as many as five (if Russell sticks as the fullback) next season. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak likes using fullbacks, and Russell should make for a good one. Holani could be the only RB released.

Wide receiver

  • Jaxson Smith-Njigba (Projected Starter)
  • Cooper Kupp (Projected Starter)
  • Marquez Valdez-Scantling (Projected Starter)
  • Jake Bobo
  • Tory Horton (Rookie)
  • Dareke Young
  • Ricky White III (Rookie)
  • Cody White
  • Tyrone Broden (2025 UDFA)
  • River Cracraft
  • Steven Sims
  • John Rhys Plumlee

The group will look very different from previous seasons as there is no DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett. JSN and Kupp should be solid, but the rest is somewhat unknown. There might be a precipitous drop in quality after the first two listed here, and the receiving group could be the weakest unit the Seahawks have in 2025.

Tight end

  • Noah Fant (Projected Starter)
  • AJ Barner
  • Elijah Arroyo (Rookie)
  • Robbie Ouzts (Rookie)
  • Marshall Lang (2025 UDFA)
  • Eric Saubert

This is an interesting group, and could see a change if the team decides to release Fant. He is a solid receiver, but the team would save nearly $9 million by moving on from him. He has underperformed to a degree, and rookie Arroyo seems NFL-ready as a receiver. Barner might be TE1 with his ability to block and catch.

Offensive line

  • T - Charles Cross (Projected Starter)
  • T - Abraham Lucas (Projected Starter)
  • T - Michael Jerrelll
  • C - Olu Oluwatimi (Projected Starter)
  • C - Jalen Sundell
  • C- Dederico Maranges (2025 UDFA)
  • C - Michael Novitsky
  • G - Grey Zabel (Projected Starter - Rookie)
  • G - Christian Haynes (Projected Starter)
  • G - Sataoa Laumea
  • G - Anthony Bradford
  • G- Bryce Cabeldue (Rookie)
  • G- Mason Richman (Rookie)
  • G - Amari Kight (2025 UDFA)
  • G - Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu
  • G/T - Josh Jones

A lot of the names above will not make the 53-man roster, but this unit is shaping up to be better than last year. Zabel should be an immediate upgrade. Lucas is expected to be healthy (for once) at the start of next season. Oluwatimi and Haynes could make significant improvements under new offensive line coach John Benton.

Defensive line

  • DeMarcus Lawrence (Projected Starter)
  • Leonard Williams (Projected Starter)
  • Jarran Reed (Projected Starter)
  • Byron Murphy (Projected Starter)
  • Derick Hall
  • Rylie Mills (Rookie)
  • Mike Morris
  • TJ Jackson (2025 UDFA))
  • Wy'Kevious Thomas (2025 UDFA)
  • Quinton Bohanna
  • Brandon Pili

Mills might be one of the steals from the draft if he can come back fully healthy from an injury he suffered late last season. He can play all three downs. The unit is a strength with loads of talent, but Reed and Williams are aging. The group should be nasty in 2025, though.

Linebacker

  • Ernest Jones IV (Projected Starter)
  • Tyrice Knight (Projected Starter)
  • Boye Mafe (Projected Starter)
  • Uchenne Nwosu
  • Drake Thomas
  • Patrick O'Connell
  • Josh Ross
  • Jamie Sheriff
  • Tyreke Smith
  • Jackson Woodard (2025 UDFA)
  • Seth Coleman (2025 UDFA)
  • Jalan Gaines (2025 UDFA)
  • Connor O'Toole (2025 UDFA)
  • Michael Dowell
  • Kenneth Odumegwu

Head coach Mike Macdonald's scheme is a base 3-4, which means Hall would fill out the four here, though he is listed on the defensive line. Nwosu will rotate in a lot, however, and the hope is he stays healthy for the first time in three years. Knight and Jones should form a fantastic inside linebacker duo for the next three seasons, at least.

Cornerback

  • Riq Woolen (Projected Starter)
  • Devon Witherspoon (Projected Starter)
  • Josh Jobe
  • Nehemiah Pritchett
  • Zy Alexander (2025 UDFA)
  • Isas Waxter (2025 UDFA)
  • Damarion Williams
  • Shemar Jean-Charles
  • JT Woods
  • Tyler Hall

Seattle showed a lot of faith in Jobe by not taking a cornerback high in the draft. Potentially, a veteran free agent could still be added, but for now, in three-cornerback sets, it will be Jobe, Woolen, and Witherspoon. There isn't much in terms of quality depth, though.

Safety

  • Julian Love (Projected Starter)
  • Coby Bryant (Projected Starter)
  • Nick Emmanwori (Rookie)
  • Jerrick Reed
  • Ty Okada
  • D'Anthony Bell
  • AJ Finley

The question is how much Emmanwori plays at the beginning of the season. He has the physicality to be a force, and the Seahawks have no other safety like him. Bryant needs to pick up where he left off last season.

Special teams

  • K - Jason Myers
  • P - Michael Dickson
  • LS - Chris Stoll

No drama here, and Seattle did not create any by taking a specialist in the draft. These three names might be able to be penciled in for the Seahawks for the next three seasons or more.
