Join 12th Man Rising For The NFL Draft

Mark your calendars; the NFL Draft begins Thursday, and 12th Man Rising will be here to help get you through it. Since the draft is such a big event, I wanted to let you know what to expect here on the site. It’s going to be a busy time.

Thursday

I’ll be live blogging the 1st round of the draft, complete with pick by pick analysis. The Seahawks don’t have a pick on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean there wont be drama to cover.

Friday

Join the 12thMR staff for a live chat starting at 4:30 local Seattle time.

Seriously, come join us. We’re not starting right when the 2nd round starts since the Seahawks wont pick right away. We’ll begin about an hour later, at 4:30.

There will be lots to discuss: the first 2 of the Seahawk’s 10 picks, next year’s schedule, the current roster, positional priorities for the other rounds, how awesome Russell Wilson is, etc. It’ll be fun.

We will also be posting announcements here on the site for both the Seahawk’s picks, as well as analysis and scouting reports for the newest Seahawks.

Saturday

Day three of the draft is an absolute marathon that has over half of all the picks in the draft. 8 of Seattle’s 10 picks are on this day. As we learned last year, it’s simply too long to do a live chat and actually be interesting and active the entire time.

Instead, I’ll be live blogging again. I’ll keep you updated on all the pertinent storylines. My plan is to cover everything that the NFC West teams (including the Seahawks, obviously) are doing, as well anything else interesting that takes place.

As with Friday, we’ll also be publishing announcements for each draft pick as they happen. Those will be followed scouting reports and analysis a little later.

After the Draft

Sometime between when the draft ends and early Sunday morning, I’ll be posting my 2013 Shadow Draft, and my way-too-early 2014 round 1 mock draft. Be sure to keep on the lookout for those as well.
