Seattle Seahawks At Lions: Live Blog
By Keith Myers
After the success of last week’s live game day chat, we’re definitely doing it again this week. Hopefully more people will join in and comment this week. We had a good number of people listening in, but only a few people participated last time, hopefully that will change this week.
This is a big game for the Seahawks. A win here in Detroit will go a long way to solidify the Seahawks as a superbowl contender. Losing today drops the team to 4-4, and sets them up with a very tall order to get enough wins to get into the top 6 teams in the NFC by the end of the season.
Seahawks inactives: WR Braylon Edwards, CD Danny Gorrer, CB Byron Maxwell, G John Moffitt, WR Doug Baldwin, DT Jason Jones, DT Jaye Howard
The big surprise here is Braylon Edwards. According to Eric Williams of the TNT he woke up with a swollen knee. Trainers drained it, but it swelled again during pregame workouts. This leaves the Seahawks with just 4 WRs active for this game.
Jason Jones and Doug Baldwin are big losses for the Seahawks, but neither is unexpected. Both missed the week’s practices, and neither was expected to play. Greg Scruggs will fill in for Jones, and Charley Martin will get the snaps in the slot for Baldwin.
Lions inactives: CB Jacob Lacey, CB Bill Bentley, S Amari Spievey, LB DeAndre Levy, T Jason Fox, T Corey Hilliard, QB Kellen Moore.
