Some teams, like last season’s Super Bowl participants, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are also looking to add to their championship caliber rosters.
New England has arguably the greatest draft gem on their current roster in Tom Brady, who was the 199th overall player taken and has led the Patriots to three NFL championships in his career.
Seattle on the other hand doesn’t have a first round selection for the third year in a row. After trading their 31st pick to the New Orleans Saints for Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham, the 12th Man is hopeful that general manager John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll can pull of some more draft day magic and find even more late rounds steals like they have in the past with Richard Sherman (5th), Russell Wilson (3rd) and Kam Chancellor (5th).

Latest question marks leading into the draft
With the loss of two starting offensive lineman in the offseason, the need to add protection for both Russell Wilson and running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to be one of the Seahawks’ main areas of focus. Seattle’s front office has their first pick in the second round and could very well go after someone to replace the departed Max Unger at center.
Defensive line is also an area that the team has shown a desire to stock up on often and with guys like Brandon Mebane and Michael Bennett taking up a solid amount of salary cap space, moves could be made to make clearing that up hurt a little less.
With Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner still playing under their rookie deals and unsigned for the long-term, the front office could very well look to draft for future needs and fill positions that might not necessarily be priorities this season, but next.
With that in mind…
What are the strongest positions in this draft?
The Seattle Seahawks hold the most selections in the 2015 draft with eleven total picks. Seattle has the luxury of having one of the strongest rosters in the NFL and it wouldn’t be out of the question for John Schneider to trade up at some point.
With the history that Schneider and Carroll have in their past drafts together, that’s not very likely. Look for Seattle to use all eleven of their picks or possibly even trade away some picks to gain more selections in next year’s draft.
