4. Injuries suck
By the end of the game, it was difficult to understand how the Lions were able to get 11 guys out there on defense. They had so many injuries that it felt like hey lost at least one defender on every drive.
The Seahawks weren’t hit nearly as bad by injuries, but they still lost players over the course of the game.
Ricardo Lockette left the game and did not return with “shortness of breathe.” He appeared to take a major hit to the chest while covering a kick.
Fred Jackson sprained his ankle. He may be out for a few weeks.
Nickel corner Marcus Burley broke his thumb. There is a good chance he’s headed to injured reserve now.
Combine that with a 837 injuries that the Lions suffered in this game, and I think we can all agree that injuries suck.
Here is hoping that everybody makes a speedy and complete recovery.
