5. The special teams are special
In a week in which it felt like there were no kickers in the NFL who could make a field goal, Steven Hauschka boomed though two that were over 50 yards. He’s now 10 for 10 on the year.
Jon Ryan had another amazing day punting the football too. One punt travelled 70 yards, and it didn’t have any bounce or roll in order to achieve that distance.
Throw in a great job by the coverage teams, and you have a very good game by Seattle’s special teams. With the offense stuck in neutral all day, the Seahawks needed the special teams to pick up some of the slack. That is exactly what they did.
Tyler Lockett has done so many good things in the return game that we can forgive is muffed punt. Just don’t do it again rookie.
