5. The playoffs are still in play

There is still a ton of work to do, but today’s result is a big step in Seattle’s quest to make the playoff this season. The win gets the Seahawks back to .500, and puts them in position to win a wild card spot.

The Rams, Washington and the Falcons all lost today. That moves Seattle closer to that that 6th position in the conference.

It wasn’t a perfect weekend for the Seahawks in that regard. Tampa won. It is also debatable which result in the Green Bay-Minnesota would have been better for the Seahawks.

No matter what, the win was what was important. If the Seahawks continue to do that, then the playoffs will take care of themselves.
