Seattle’s Defense Is Still Super Bowl Caliber

This feels like something we can take away from almost every game in recent weeks. The problems the Seahawks had on defense early in the season are but a distant memory now.

With Seattle’s offense doing nothing, the defense was one the field for a very long time. The result: only nine points and only 183 total yards for the Vikings.

The defense bottled up Adrian Peterson all game. He finished with just 45 yards on 23 carries.

When that happens, the Vikings are going to struggle on offense. That is exactly what happened.

When the Seahawks need stops, the got them over and over again.

The only flaw was when Kam Chancellor got beat by Minnesota TE Zach Rudolph twice on Minnesota’s final possession. But it didn’t mater in the end. The team got the job done when it mattered.
