Pete Carroll’s clock management is still terrible

It probably didn’t matter in the result, but this game was a great example of just how poor Pete Carroll can be at clock management.

The end of the first half, where the Seahawks botched their final two possessions and came away with no points, was just the beginning. It only got worse in the second half.

The Seahawks burned a timeout on third and 24, only to throw a swing pass and have to punt. They really could have used that TO later in the game.

Down 31-10, the Seahawks let two minutes run off the clock after getting into the red zone before Kearse finally caught the touchdown pass.

There was no reason for Seattle to let the clock run there. Those extra minutes were desperately needed.

This has been a problem with Carroll since he came to Seattle. The Seahawks typically overcome these mistakes, but it didn’t happen today.
