Douglas McNeil

McNeil was originally signed by the Seahawks last February after putting together a nice highlight reel from his time with the Portland Thunder of the AFL. He made some noise during off season workouts but then the team converted him to cornerback in an attempt to take advantage of his athleticism and develop another big player in the secondary. He never appeared in a game and was released from the practice squad in early December. He was re signed later that month, and since then he has once again been listed as a WR.

McNeil is the one player on this list under 6’4″ but he barely misses that mark, and because he’s currently on the roster he has the advantage of familiarity. Watch his Thunder highlights and you can see how he might have some appeal as a big target with long arms who can go up and get the ball in the red zone.

In his Arena League career, McNeil caught 66 passes for 858 yards and 18 TD’s.
