Russell Wilson looked rusty

Seattle’s franchise QB looked like a guy seeing his first extended action of the year. He was holding onto the ball too long and taking sacks that he shouldn’t be taking.

The Seahawks let Wilson play the entire first half. He finished with just five completions for 77 yards. At least there weren’t any interceptions this time.

Sure, there were a couple of bad drops mixed in there. Wilson also hit on a couple big plays to Tyler Lockett. The stats don’t tell the complete story.

The bigger problem was the sacks. Wilson got dropped four times. The first two were at least partially his fault. He’s got to get the ball out much quicker.

The last two were breakdowns in protection, but Wilson didn’t do himself any favors. Running backwards just led to more lost yards. Those sacks proved to be drive killers.
