4. Offensive tackle remains an issue

Seattle’s offense eventually found its rhythm and put up some points, but it got off to a slow start. Much of that slow start can be attributed to poor play by the offensive tackles.

Bradley Sowell and Gary Gilliam both struggled. They also both had drive-killing penalties. It was ugly. J’Marcus Webb came in and looked even worse. The down-roster guys didn’t look much better, even playing against backups.

This is a big concern for Seattle as the regular season approaches.

The interior of the line continues to impress though. I’m as shocked as everyone else that Justin Britt has been good this preseason, but he certainly has. The young guys at guard have also played well. That trio looks like they’ll be a strength this year.
