Quinton Jefferson

Jefferson was selected by the Seahawks in the 5th round of the NFL Draft and he will be a valuable pass rusher this season.

His ability to rush from both the inside and outside will inevitably bring up comparisons to Michael Bennett.  We have all seen how valuable Bennett’s versatility is to the success of the Seahawks’ defense.

We can expect some growing pains from Jefferson this season, as he still has a lot to learn with his technique. Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett will play a big role in helping Jefferson tap into his full potential.

For the Seahawks’ pass rush to be the force that they have been in years past, Jefferson needs to become a dangerous threat as a rotational lineman.

Jefferson will get a lot of playing time right from week 1, with the loss of Jordan Hill, who is now on IR.   Hill’s absence provides an open door for Jefferson to step up and make a major contribution.

Look for him to capitalize on this early opportunity and continue to improve throughout the season and grow into an essential role player.
