Seahawks could look to Denver for a partner

Cornerback Chris Harris Jr. of the Broncos is definitely worth a look. Harris is ranked seventh among all corners this season by Pro Football Focus. He’s primarily played the slot in his career, but moved to the right side of the field with the off-season move of Aqib Talib to the Rams. Like Conley, he’d line up opposite Shaquill Griffin, no adjustment needed.

Harris has made the Pro Bowl three times, so he’s certainly not a project. He does have just one pick so far this season, but he made it count, as he ripped off a 53 yard return for six points against the Cardinals just last week.

So why is he available? Like the Raiders, the Broncos appear to be having a fire sale. Well, no one is having a fire sale like Oakland, but Denver is definitely in selling mode. You’ll note our friends at Predominantly Orange wrote almost exclusively about players going out, not coming in.

You noticed in that article – you did read it, didn’t you – that another cornerback may be on the block for Denver. Bradley Roby may be available, but that doesn’t mean you want to trade for him. He’s in his fifth season, and never made more than four starts a year until now. Again, Aquib Talib is gone, so they plugged Roby in. He’s a decent player, and would be alright for depth. But Harris is the difference maker the Seahawks need.
