One of these Seahawks mock drafts is frankly insane

Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks won’t stay at 21, but if they do…

So, back to this year’s draft. I highly recommend you check out Condotta’s article. For my purposes, it’s enough to say that of the 13 picks listed, six are edge rushers, three are safeties, two are cornerbacks, and two are defensive tackles. Players like Florida edge rusher Jachai Polite, Alabama safety Deionte Thompson, and Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell were selected by more than one draftnik.

Those are all reasonable selections. As Condotta wrote, it’s certainly fine to have an idea of what the Seahawks are going to give up to add to their meager stock of picks. And they all address the consensus of what Seattle’s needs are, the defensive line and the secondary. I’m surprised there wasn’t single offensive lineman mentioned, but there’s a lot of topline talent on defense.

And then I saw this pick. I’m not going to list the site. For one, I hope it’s a mistake they simply haven’t gotten around to fixing. For another, they typically make sound, reasoned decisions. This is just off the wall. Again staying with their 21st pick, the Seahawks will select Iowa tight end -yes, I wrote tight end –  T.J. Hockenson.
