Running backs

Starter: Chris Carson

Backups: Rashaad Penny, J.D. McKissic and Travis Homer

Fullback: Nick Bellore

Cut: C.J. Prosise, Bo Scarbrough

Carson will be the starter with the Seahawks until he either proves he cannot be productive or gets injured. He is a strong runner and can catch and fits perfectly with what Seattle wants to do offensively in 2019.

Penny will definitely be Carson’s backup. The Seahawks hope he plays well enough to possibly unseat Carson, though. Seattle did spend a first round pick on Penny in 2018 so they want to get their money’s worth.

Past Carson and Penny, however, is anyone’s guess. Seattle seems to always be enthralled with what C.J. Prosise can do. But mostly what Prosise does is sit on the sidelines nursing some kind of injury. He isn’t reliable over any stretch of games and that makes him worthy of being cut.

McKissic and Homer are similar players but that is OK. Both can be explosive. Homer is a good pass blocker. McKissic has the versatility to return kicks should Tyler Lockett need a break.

Bellore is the only fullback in camp and he is a good one so he can get penned in as being on the team.
