Seattle Seahawks October review: A great month with a sour note

Seattle Seahawks October Game Reviews
Seattle Seahawks defeat Miami Dolphins, 31-23
Entering Week 4, the Seahawks had to travel to the Sunshine State, to take on the Miami Dolphins. That trip alone was the longest trip any team would take, in terms of mileage, in the 2020 season. I personally thought the Seahawks played their best game of the year in this one. They had a balanced attack, with the defense playing their best game of the year. The defense forced multiple turnovers and KJ Wright was all over the place.
I was very impressed with the win in Miami. Also, the Seahawks improved upon their east coast winning streak.
JLuppy’s Prediction: Seahawks 35 – 21 Dolphins
JLuppy’s October Record (1-0)
I was pretty close with my prediction, but all that matters was the Seahawks got the win.
Seattle Seahawks defeat Minnesota Vikings, 27-26
This was a thrilling game on Sunday Night Football that literally came down to the last play of the game. The Seahawks offense had their worst start of the season in the first half. Lack of big plays, couldn’t move the ball down the field and they beat themselves up with penalties. The defense once again stepped up and made some plays in this one. Back to back weeks, KJ Wright balled out and proved his worth to this team. Russell Wilson led a game-winning drive capped off with the game-winning pass to the DK Metcalf on 4th down.
This was the kind of game where a championship team finds a way to win, and that’s exactly what the Seahawks did.
JLuppy’s Prediction: Seahawks 42 – 21 Vikings
JLuppy’s October Record (2-0)
Although I wasn’t close in my score, I was right that Wilson would remain undefeated against the Vikings.
Arizona Cardinals defeat Seattle Seahawks, 37-34 (OT)
Coming off the bye week, the Seahawks had their first divisional game of the year against the Cardinals. The Seahawks came out red hot in this one. The offense was clicking, the defense played well early on, forcing a fumble. But, it was the Cardinals and Kyler Murray who pulled a Russell Wilson completing their 4th quarter comeback. The Seahawks hurt themselves with some silly penalties, but the Cardinals deserve the credit for making more plays at the end to win.
Wilson had his worst game of the year in terms of decision-making but still dropped some beautiful passes to Tyler Lockett. Also, DK had a season-defining play for the Seahawks chasing down Budda Baker.
JLuppy’s Prediction: Seahawks 28 – 24 Cardinals
JLuppy’s October Record (2-1)
Seattle always plays in close games. I thought they had better body language than the Cardinals all night long and was quite shocked they ended up losing.
