Seattle Seahawks November preview and predictions
By Jake Luppino
Wide Receiver, DK Metcalf
Seattle fans, how lucky are we that DK fell to us in that second round? I know we traded up to get him, but, I mean, that had to be the steal of the draft.
DK Metcalf has shown significant improvement from his rookie year. He plays fearless. I’ve noticed he’s committed himself to being a better team player and not just a better wide out. He blocks hard and is not afraid to hit somebody. He loves seeing his teammates catch passes and touchdowns. He seems to have a great personality as he is always having fun on Instagram.
Most importantly, he is considered as a “best friend” to our star quarterback, Russell Wilson. Russ has shown great trust in DK. In the month of November, against Miami, Minnesota and Arizona, I thought DK got better and better each game. Against Miami, he was reliable when called upon. Against Minnesota, he made some big time catches that ultimately helped lead this team to victory.
Against Arizona, although he only had 2 catches, he showed what a true team player does. DK did not quit on the play when Budda Baker intercepted Wilson. DK covered over 100 yards of field and hit a top speed of about 22 MPH. He tackled Budda Baker and saved a touchdown. Season defining play by the second year wide out.
DK Metcalf’s stat line for the month of November: 22 TGT, 12 REC, 222 YDs, 2 TD’s
