Seattle Seahawks vs New York Jets: Players to watch for
By Reuben Gasee
Russell Wilson
There’s no doubt that Russell Wilson is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the league. Wilson can accurately make passes, run the ball himself, scramble his way out of near sacks and can do many other things at a high level that a team expects from its quarterback.
Lately, though, Wilson hasn’t been at his best. He’s combined to throw for less than 1,000 passing yards in his last four games with just four touchdowns over three interceptions during that span. He’s also taken a lot of heat from fans with some even going as far as to say the Seahawks can no longer rely on him.
His struggles could be because of the secondary’s he’s gone up against with the past four games consisting of at least one premier cornerback or safety from the other team. Having a good safety or cornerback can do wonders for a team’s pass defense and can slow down an opposing quarterback which has been the case for Wilson.
With no one particularly standing out on the Jets secondary and their star defensive player in C.J. Mosely on the sidelines, Wilson will look to have a bounce-back game and quiet the haters.
