Ranking the top 4 free agents the Seahawks should sign next offseason

Seahawks need cornerback Rock Ya-Sin
Let’s hope Seahawks rookies Tariq Woolen and Coby Bryant turn out to be really good but that still seems to be in doubt simply due to how new they are to the league. (OK, Woolen appears almost destined to be a star in the league but Bryant is still mostly unknown.) But even if Bryant and Woolen turn out to be really good, Seattle still has no long-term answer at who plays the other outside spot. Bryant might stick in the slot. Woolen is a true outside corner.
Ya-Sin is seemingly getting better every season. He is now in his fourth year and was traded this offseason by the Colts to the Raiders. Ya-Sin is a free agent after this year. In 2021, Ya-Sin had a quarterback rating allowed of 88.8 which is pretty solid. In 2022, he has been even better. Per Pro Football Focus, Ya-Sin had a coverage grade of 72.4 last year which is good.
His run grade was only 53.2 but here is where PFF gets things wrong. Ya-Sin is a solid tackler which is required in a Pete Carroll defense. You can’t tackle, you don’t normally play. (That is unless it is 2022 when every Seattle defender seems incapable of tackling well, unless it’s Woolen who hadn’t missed a tackle through the first two games.) Ya-Sin has had a missed tackle rate of 6.3 percent or less in three of his four seasons.
Ya-Sin did injure his knee in Week 3 but this does not appear to be a long-term issue at this time.
And while Ya-Sin still needs to be better at taking the ball away from opposing offenses, he is excellent in coverage and quarterbacks don’t love throwing in his direction. Ya-Sin is still only 26 years old too. Singing him next offseason means a cornerback group that includes Woolen, Bryant and Ya-Sin and that could be very good for several years.
