Cooper Kupp just won his second Super Bowl ring, and it could mean something special for him after his NFL career is over. It's been quite the journey for Kupp since his first Super Bowl win with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, as injuries eventually played a role in his exit from LA, but he found another life elsewhere.

Kupp was the Seattle Seahawks' most productive wideout against the New England Patriots on Sunday, but he showed up at critical times throughout the playoffs in general. While his regular season was one of the least productive of his career, he was there when Seattle needed him the most.

Now that Kupp has a second championship added to his resume, the question is: Is he a future Hall of Famer? What do two Super Bowl rings, a Super Bowl MVP, and a wide receiving Triple Crown get someone like Kupp?

Seahawks' Cooper Kupp's Triple Crown plus two rings should lock him in for a gold jacket

Now, had Kupp gone the remainder of his career without another ring, his Hall of Fame chances would, and should be, almost impossible. He was never considered the best wide receiver in the game, even in 2021, when he led the NFL with 145 receptions, 1,947 receiving yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns.

Yet, he’s won a wide receiving Triple Crown, something only Ja'Marr Chase (2024), Steve Smith Sr. (2005), Sterling Sharpe (1992), and Jerry Rice (1990) have done. Not only did he accomplish that during the Rams' championship run, but he also captured the Super Bowl MVP, topping off one of the best single seasons any wide receiver has had in NFL history.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald certainly believes Kupp's Hall of Fame induction should be set after the team won Super Bowl LX. According to Albert Breer, Macdonald said, "This should cement him in the Hall of Fame, in my opinion."

For a short window, Kupp was considered elite, but never the best. That's why a Triple Crown, Super Bowl, and Super Bowl MVP might never have been enough to cross him over into Hall of Fame territory. However, that's all changed now with his second Super Bowl championship.

Rice and Sharpe are all in the Hall of Fame, whereas Smith is not. Smith has a Hall of Fame-worthy resume, but he left the game without a ring. On Kupp's current trajectory, he won't surpass Smith in career yards or receptions, but his winning accomplishments should leapfrog Smith on any given day, which is more reason for Kupp to make the Hall of Fame.

If Smith has the resume of a Hall of Famer, at least where statistics are concerned, then Kupp certainly has a resume of a Hall of Famer where winning accomplishments are concerned. Nevertheless, Kupp is back on top of the football world, even while his elite seasons are likely behind him.

Kupp signed with the Seahawks for three years last March, and he has shown he can hold up as the Seahawks' No. 2 threat behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba for another year to two.
