The Seattle Seahawks play their final preseason game of 2023 against the Green Bay Packers. I am hoping that we don't see many presumed starters for Seattle. Risking further players to injury just doesn't make much sense.

But there will still be a lot to watch for. There are several position battles still to be played out, such as who will win one outside corner spot between Tre Brown and Michael Jackson? And will Jake Bobo cement his place on the active 53-man roster?

Seattle and Green Bay have played five times before in the preseason. The Seahawks lead the head-to-head 3-2. And if Seattle does beat Green Bay, this will be the team's fifth undefeated preseason in franchise history. Four of those seasons would have been under the leadership of Pete Carroll.

Seahawks vs. Packers preseason Week 3: All you need to know

When and where

The Seahawks only away game of the 2023 preseason will be played at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin at 10 am PT on Saturday, August 26th. This is good as that means you will have lots of time left in the day to go to the park, or hiking, or whatever else you might do on your weekends. Or, as final roster cuts are made on August 29th, you might spend the afternoon and get your voodoo dolls or prayer beads out or whatever you use to try to help your favorite unknown Seahawk make the team.

Weather

Saturday should be a beautiful day in Green Bay if you are going to the game. The temperature should be in the mid-to-upper 60s and there is little chance of rain. The breeze will be around 10-15 MPH.

Injuries

If you have a dart board full of pictures of Seahawks wide receivers, then throw a dart at the board and wherever the dart lands will probably be on the photo of an injured player. Thankfully, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are fine and very unlikely to play against the Packers.

In fact, don't expect to see many presumed key Seattle players. There is no reason to risk them to injury. And the team is already banged up enough.

TV, radio, and streaming

You can watch the game in the Seattle area and PNW affiliates that will carry the game on KING-5. The game will be shown on the NFL Network, but for most of the country, the game will be on delay and not live. If you live in Canada, and I know a lot of 12s do, you can watch the game on TSN5. The Seahawks broadcast team will be Kate Scott (play-by-play) and Mark Schlereth (commentary).

If you are old-school and only want to listen to the game, you can hear the excellent Steve Raible do the play-by-play and he will be joined by Dave Wyman (commentary) and Jen Mueller (sidelines) on Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3. If you subscribe to NFL+, you can also listen to the game there.

Finally, if you want to stream the game, go to Seahawks.com in the Seattle area, NFL+ nationally, and NFL Game Pass internationally. There are a decent amount of 12s in Germany and Brazil, so check out the game on Game Pass. Either way, we can all agree on Go Hawks!
