The Seattle Seahawks are 6-4 and face the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. San Francisco is 7-3 and coming off two straight impressive victories. Meanwhile, against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11, Seattle got pretty banged up as quarterback Geno Smith missed part of the game and running back Kenneth Walker III missed most of it.

Seattle also lost Jerrick Reed II for the season with a torn ACL. Reed did not get a ton of play on defense but he was a key member on special teams. Reed was among the league leaders in tackles on special teams before his injury. His spot was filled by Coby Bryant who was cleared to return to practice this week but Bryant was also likely to be inactive.

Seattle also played without safety Jamal Adams in Week 11 as the Seahawks may have simply been resting him since Seattle was playing games just a few days apart. Adams should not have been needed for the Seahawks to win against the Rams. He still might not have changed the outcome had he been able to play, but it did seem as if the Seattle coaching staff thought Adams would be needed more against the 49ers than the Rams. Adams is expected to play an important part on Thanksgiving.

Who is inactive for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers?

On Wednesday's practice report, three players were listed as non-participants. Those three were Walker (oblique), receiver Dareke Young (abdomen), and Reed. We knew that Reed won't play against the 49ers and he was placed on injured reserve before the game. Young and Walker were also unlikely to play.

Geno Smith was expected to play after injuring his arm in Week 11. Head coach Pete Carroll has said there is no real injury to Smith's arm, but that Smith would have to play in some pain. Let's hope he can make it through the 49ers game without re-hurting the arm. Smith was listed as questionable, however, so depending on how effective the Seahawks offense is might determine how long he plays.

Right tackle Abraham Lucas was listed as questionable as well. Lucas has missed every game since Week 1 with a knee injury. Lucas won't play on Thursday, either. My guess is that he returns in Week 13 against the Dallas Cowboys.
