Player to Watch No. 2 - Safety Jamal Adams

Jamal Adams is likely to return to the Seahawks defense this week for the first time since opening night 2022. Ironically, his first game back since his quad injury will also be a Monday Night Football game. Adams return is going to be a big boost for the Seahawks secondary which has had injuries to cornerbacks Riq Woolen and Tre Brown.

How Seattle decides to use Jamal Adams is a question of debate because they already have Julian Love and Quandre Diggs at each of the safety positions. The last time Adams played the Seahawks used him at times as more of a rover linebacker as opposed to his typical position of strong safety. The Seahawks have struggled more against the pass this season than have against the run. This could mean Seattle will look to use Adams more in passing situations.

Rover linebacker probably makes the most sense for Jamal Adams because playing that position allows Bobby Wagner to focus more on the ground game. Whatever the Seahawks decide to do with Jamal Adams, seeing him on the field again is the real victory for both Adams and the Seahawks. Adams has worked incredibly hard in his rehab to make this return to Seattle. He definitely will be going through lots of emotions when he makes his first start Monday night.
