Weather report for Seahawks versus Broncos Week 1 should be perfect for Seattle
By Lee Vowell
Seattle and Denver are two cities that are used to having some weather that can be quite bad. The positive aspect is that when the Seahawks and Broncos play in Week 1, the game will be held in late summer at Lumen Field. This increases the likelihood that the weather will play no part in who wins or who loses.
If you are lucky enough to go to the game in person, you will have zero issues. Depending on how you check your weather forecast for games, you might get a chuckle if you look at NFLWeather (dot) com. It is a fine site, mind you, but their "slight chance of showers" for the Seahawks against Denver is a bit of a stretch.
The "slight" chance equates to a no more than four percent chance of rain. That means that there will be no rain on Sunday. In fact, there should not be many clouds and very little wind. The Weather Channel says the winds should be about 5 mph and lists only a "few" clouds from "time to time."
Week 1 weather report for Seahawks versus Broncos is absolutely perfect
This might be one of the few poncho-less games 12s get this year. The temperatures will also be perfect and hold steady in the 70s. If you are going to eat downtown before walking to the stadium, the day should be glorious.
Making the day even better is that the Seahawks should win the game. The team is currently favored by nearly a touchdown by most betting sites (feel free to check them, if you wish). Seattle has the more experienced roster and should have more talent overall.
The game will mark the first chance 12s will get to see head coach Mike Macdonald roam the sidelines in a real game. Since 2010, Seahawks fans saw Pete Carroll man the sidelines, chewing his gum, and keeping a positive attitude even when the team struggled. Macdonald seems a bit more even-keeled, though one wonders how his first negative interaction with an official will go.
The game is set to kick off at Lumen Field at 1:05 pm PT. CBS will carry the game locally, while 12s living elsewhere can catch the game on the overpriced NFL Sunday Ticket.
