With the 2024 NFL season over and the final standings known, each team now knows who they will play in 2025. The Seattle Seahawks already knew they would play the other NFC West teams twice, as well as playing each team from the NFC South and AFC South. The only drama was which second-place teams Seattle would play to fill out the schedule.
Those teams ended up being the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, and Minnesota Vikings. Those are three good teams capable of being even better next season. So could Seattle, of course, but the team might be better and still have a worse record than the 10-7 the team achieved this season.
The actual schedule will not be released until May, and the exact dates of the games will be learned then. Seattle knew which teams it would play at home and which it would play on the road already. Here are some early guesses about how those games will go.
Seattle Seahawks 2025 home games
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals were expected to be a bit better this year, and they were. Sort of. They got off to a great start but then won just two of their last seven games. The issue might be the mercurial Kyler Murray, who is athletically gifted but has never shown to be a quarterback who could lead his team to a deep playoff run. Seattle will probably just get one victory over Arizona, though, unlike this season.
Los Angeles Rams
Few people who saw the Seahawks defeat the Rams in Week 18 probably thought, "Seattle is just as good as LA." The Rams were sitting most of their key offensive players and Seattle still gave up over 400 total yards. That does not bode well for future Sean McVay versus Mike Macdonald matchups. LA will probably beat the Seahawks twice in 2025.
San Francisco 49ers
What we saw from the 49ers in 2024 was a lie. If they suffer as many injuries next year as they did this season then they won't be successful again. Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the likelihood is that San Francisco will stay healthy and get back to their 2023 level. That probably means at least one victory over the Seahawks. A split would be great for Seattle, however.
Houston Texans
The Texans are in a great position as the only team seemingly worthy of challenging them for the AFC South crown in the next few years is the Indianapolis Colts and Houston has the better quarterback. Seattle will likely lose this game.
Indianapolis Colts
Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is fast with a great arm, but he is also inaccurate a lot of the time. The Colts are not a bad team, and they certainly have some good skill position players but a mediocre defense. Seattle should have an even better defense in 2025 and be able to win a low-scoring game against the Colts.
Minnesota Vikings
Let's assume that the Vikings keep Sam Darnold and he has another good season in 2025. Minnesota has better skill position players than the Seahawks and better offensive direction. The Vikings will get the win in a high-scoring game.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints are forever in cap hell, it seems. This will keep them from acquiring enough quality free agents to compete for a while. They also do not draft overly well. This should be a Seattle victory.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield has turned his career around with the Bucs and has become a good quarterback. Tampa Bay does not play in an extremely difficult division and will probably be favored to win the NFC South again next year. They are not unbeatable, however, and streaky. Seattle will get Tampa Bay on the low-end and get the victory.
Home record: 5-3 (including home wins over the Cardinals and the 49ers)
Seattle Seahawks 2025 away games
We already spoke about the 49ers, Cardinals, and 49ers above, so we won't go into more detail here. The guess is that Seattle will lose their road games to all three teams.
Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta was playing well when the Seahawks visited the Falcons in Week 7 and destroyed them. That game said more about the Falcons (their record at the time was better than they actually were) than it did Seattle. Seattle should be the better team next season as well.
Carolina Panthers
Don't look now but the Panthers were playing good football at the end of this season. Quarterback Bryce Young finished the season strong with seven touchdown passes and no interceptions combined in his last three games. Seattle should still have the better overall roster and get the win.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars will have a new coaching staff next season as head coach Doug Pederson was fired after the team's final game. Jacksonville appears to underplay its talent level. The Seahawks should earn the victory.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Assuming head coach Mike Tomlin is not traded to another team, as suggested by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Steelers are always going to be difficult to defeat because they will have a good defense and a solid running attack. This is a game that Seattle will likely lose in an ugly fashion.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans are terrible. They also do not have a quarterback who can raise a mediocre roster to a good one. Seattle will take the game.
Washington Commanders
Goodness, was Washington a surprise this season or what? Quarterback Jayden Daniels looks like a future MVP candidate and the defense should stay solid under head coach Dan Quinn. Seattle loses this one, and the game isn't very close.
Away record: 4-5
Overall record: 9-8
